Our Ethos
- Complexity – It’s everywhere, it’s exponential. Good software solutions need to solve problems with little to no added complexity. We have to stay true to the actual solutions and not get lost in the minutia.
- Integrity – We need to clear the air. Honesty is our style, but respect is paramount. We show up on time, we meet our deadlines. It’s what we do. Our software engineering track records reflect this.
- Value – Software can get very expensive. Our goal is to deliver exactly what you need, affordably. Maybe leave room for extension. If you get real value you likely will feel the need to ask for more stuff.
- Insight – The most powerful tools we have are humility and thoughtful questions. We gain insight through listening not assuming. You have permission to arm-bar us if we violate this promise.
- Knowledge – We’ve developed a disposition for using tools. In the age of AI we still need human beings making good decisions (hot topic!) and connecting the right dots. So far we’re still doing things that only humans can do, I am not a Large Language Model regurgitation machine that resembles intelligence.
- Code Later – Write solutions after you have a crystal clear understanding of the problem you’re solving. Sometimes prototypes help refine a problem, but even those should be informed by clear understanding.
- Love – Yes Love! Not to be sentimental in the least. We just love watching our work change lives. Some people like to write pretty code, but more than that, we love to solve big problems that change the way we all do things.
